ASERL Member Representatives are called to attend the 2023 Fall Membership Meeting! 

The ASERL Board of Directors is pleased to invite our member deans and directors to participate in the Association’s 2023 Fall Membership Meeting on November 29-30 at University of Central Florida.  The agenda includes many interesting sessions, options for our members to network and info-share, as well as an optional half-day preconference about the power of introverted leadership.

NOTES

  • Our HQ hotel is the Celeste Hotel, adjacent to the UCF campus. See below for more information. 
  • The Membership Meeting will take place on campus in the John C. Hitt Library starting at 1pm ET on November 29 and adjourning at approximately 12pm ET on November 30.  
  • The optional preconference will take place from 9am – 12pm on November 29 in the Hitt Library.
  • The members’ reception will take place at the Celeste Hotel on the evening of November 29.

Librarianship, a profession with a significant number of introverts, presents a unique opportunity to explore and embrace the strengths and abilities that introverted individuals bring to leadership roles. Through active small group sessions and case studies, this workshop aims to provide insights into introversion and power structures, focusing on the four types of introversion, the superpowers of introverts, potential blind spots during times of stress, and strategies to create a balanced inclusive workplace culture where everyone feels valued and heard.
