ASERL is partnering with nationally-recognized LIAS researcher Lisa Hinchliffe to offer two no-cost workshops about data privacy and learning analytics. After the workshop, participants will be able to analyze learning analytics and the ways in which they may create privacy harms; adjust a learning analytics practice to strategically minimize privacy harms and maximize specific benefits; and advocate for privacy protections in learning analytics policies and practices. The workshops are an offering of Prioritizing Privacy, which is supported by an IMLS National Leadership Grant (https://prioritizingprivacy.org/).
ASERL will co-host the following the two sessions; each will have identical content. Please register for whichever session best suits your availability:
- Session 1: April 5, 2023, 1pm – 4pm, at Emory University (Atlanta)
- Session 2: May 15, 2023, 1pm – 4pm, at Tulane University (New Orleans)
