The ASERL community mourns the passing of our longtime friend and collaborator, Terry L. Birdwhistell. Dr. Birdwhistell served in many roles at the University of Kentucky over five decades, including as their Dean of Libraries and the Founding Director of the Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History. Terry contributed his time and talents to ASERL as a member of our Board of Directors from 2013 – 2015. He passed away on January 29, 2023 at the age of 72 following a brief illness. The UK Libraries has created a touching memorial to his life and work on their website.
