ASERL is pleased to announce it will host the second Scholarly Communications Unconference (“SCUNC”) on January 20, 2017 at Georgia State University Library.

What is an “Unconference”?
Unconferences are decentralized, participatory affairs. Anyone with an idea can initiate a session to discuss, teach, hack, build, problem-solve, or any combination of those things. Rather than a single speaker pontificating from the front of the room, unconferences encourage open discussion and participation.

Why should I attend SCUNC?
SCUNC is really your conference. While embracing the unconference ethos, SCUNC participants will focus discussions around all things scholarly communications, including open access, digital publishing, copyright, IRs, almetrics, and more!  ASERL’s Scholarly Communications Interest Group encourages participants to submit unique and creative proposal ideas in advance.

Due to space limitations, this event will be limited to 50 participants. ASERL members only, please.  Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first served basis.
